Non-profits & community groups

We know that many community groups who provide valuable contributions don't have the budget for a major web design/development project.

We also know that these groups would benefit from having a presence on the web.

We believe, quite sincerely, that society is enriched when discourse and discussion are encouraged and supported.

Therefore we are pleased to provide community groups with the opportunity to establish a professional web presence at a very low cost. These websites use the same professional tools that we use for major sites and are supported by our commercial quality hosting.

Our fees to set up your website depend on the nature of the group:

  • if your group is a registered society or explicitly addresses needs or issues in your community will get your website up and running for $49.95.
  • if your group is primarily focused on addressing a common interest shared by its members - a car or photo club for example - we will get your website up and running for $99.95.

We've created a special hosting plan for non-profit/community groups which provides twice the disk space and bandwith as our entry level plan at the same price. We expect this will provide most groups with sufficient resources to support an effective site.

There are, as you might expect, some conditions associated with this offer:

  1. We can only work on non-profit/community sites when we have time available. That's not to say that we might not get your site up and running in the evening or over a weekend but we're not making any promises.
  2. You must use one of the ready made designs we make available. They're attractive and functional. We can't however commit significant time to the design of sites offered under this plan.
  3. Development and hosting must be prepaid before we will start work.

If you're interested please use our contact form to get in touch. Tell us a little about your group and how you think a website might help you. We're not looking for a thesis about the "role of websites in modern communication strategies" - just a little something so that we can get a basic understanding of what you would want your website to do.
